Underground Hip-Hop Radio
PROGRAM: During its weekly two-hours appointment, Streetbeat alternates the music selection with news about artists and hip-hop events, interviews to the guests, reviews of the best discs received, discussions and entertainment. We build our programme focusing on the realest hip-hop on the scene, picking not only from the USA reality, but also from more hidden ones, without being influenced by cultural or linguistic barriers. We obviously support our national scene, promoting both leading and young-talented Italian artists.
Particular sections of Streetbeat are:
Hit one: the power-track of the week, played twice (at the beginning of any hour of broadcast).
Dive in the past: the hip-hop classics. You can find two of them during the programme.
Underground area: a track selected among Italian emerging artists’ new releases.
Phat tape: a member of the team or one of the guests has the opportunity to choose and promote a piece thanks to particular reasons, explained in a short introduction.
Sample battle: once a month we compare a beat with its original sample, mixing them in a 1vs1 session.
Freestyle session: it’s the moment when rappers show their skills live and direct, with Matt (the emcee of the team) often suppported by other guests.
